Can we add a description on the enter general journals page to identify standing journals that have been created

When I select the enter general journals page I have multiple standard journals that I have created as part of my monthend process. I cannot identify these journals until I click into the journal. Is there some way we can add a name to these journals so that this appears when I go into this screen.

Sorry, Understood. Yes, it would be good if you can save the batch notes prior prior to posting, not just in the process of posting (can't seem to get it to save the comment without posting at the moment?)

    Hi Alex,
Yes it's there on the second Tab. You just need to populate the Batch notes
    to see it.
A bug was raised that it seems to be removed once posted which is under
    review.
    Cheers

Andrew, I believe this request relate to the first Journal entry where all the unposted/standing journals sit, not inside the individual journal. There is no description like "Prepayments" or "Vehicle XYZ lease" etc. We want a description that is meaningful on this screen not just Type, Batch, WKID, User, Period, Date, etc. It's very difficult to remember which one is which without keeping an external register of Standing Journals.

    Also Steve,
You will need to click on the Tab that says text... second along on the top.
    Cheers

    Ahh,
Thanks for the update. The description should definitely stay with the
    Standing Journal after posting...
Lets fix that as a bug...
I will take that case number and let the Support team know what the problem
    is...
We will hopefully have that fixed soon for you.
    Cheers

Thanks Andrew, I noticed this new feature only works in the current month. The standing journal description is blank again once we roll over. Any plan to improve this?

    Hi Andrew

Thank you for a quick response!

I raised a case (32462660) as the "text" is indeed available, but it doesn't bring the text when reviewing unposed jnls (so I seems it's been implemented but it doesn't work on our end).

    Hi Andrew,

    Thanks for your email.

See below a view of the enter general journals screen that I see. I have notes in the description field but Im still not sure where will it appear on this front screen.

Im happy to say we shipped this one in 2024!
You can now see the Batch Notes if entered in the description field next
    to the standing journals.
Please note, regarding your other comment, that unfortunately we can not
get to all suggestions, no matter how long they have been there, and we are
always balancing priorities. Though at our current run rate approximately
50% of our Roadmap comes from customer suggestions, so thank you for your
    interest in Product!
    Thanks
    Cheers

Is there any follow-up on this suggestion? I see it's been active for two years now, and it seems like a simple solution to add.

Adding my vote to this, this is very much needed.
