Able to quickly view the DR and CR side of a Journal transaction.
If this was made feasible AND the 51 votes for being able to attach details to a journal batch was also in place then analysis and understanding of a Journal transaction would be made FAR more simple.

Hi Clinton,
Thanks for your suggestion.
Our view up until now has been that the CWIP Enquiry is more about
analysing costs on a single project, ie more project oriented and therefore
the transactions shown limited to that project and controlled by Job
Security.
You could see other transactions related to a Journal batch, if they are
related to the same project, by using the Refenerence filter on the Invoice
Details tab of CWIP Enquiry. This might help with things like cost
transfers within a Job.
It is possible also already to attach documents to a journal batch but
those documents may not necessarily be exposed in the CWIP Enquiry again
for security purposes.
That said we are open to your suggestion if it can make you more efficient
while maintaining security objectives for project users.
Could you give me a real world example of when this feature might be useful
to you, ie to see the other side of a Journal from within CWIP enquiry. And
where you wouldnt mind the other side of the Journal being exposed to all
project users?
much appreciated.
Andrew
