Jobpac does not allow for overpayment to specific items. This is needed as often subcontractors would overclaim an item and underclaim another. As we are assessing these we need to pay the right amounts in the relevant items.
Similarly, often subs overclaim on Provisional sums, we need to pay the provisional sum in full an adjust the extra over as a variation, however Jobpac does not allow to pay against a variation if the subcontractor has not claimed for it.

Hi Alberto,
I believe there may be a setting that controls the ability to pay more than
the subbie claimed value, please reach out to support for this setting, but
probably not more than the Item Contract value. To claim over an item value
you would currently need to raise a variation for that Item, unless it was
set up as a SOR Subcontract which allows overclaiming against any item and
it will push up contract values in line with the claim values.
cheers
Andrew
