Currently in NZ and I am sure this happens in Australia from time to time where there is a tax provision for companies to depreciate a certain % in the first year and then the balance at the normal rates. Can this be incorporated in the Depreciation calculations. Currently what I have to do is do a parent child for each Asset, the Parent being the 80% of the asset with normal rate and the child with 20% of the Asset with 1200% depreciation rate (there is no other way to depreciate 100% in the month of purchase). The problem is that the Asset Over ride function is so time consuming because the defaults do not come up on the screen and you have to enter everything from scratch and there is no upload for asset over rides. There are other suggestion regarding the upload for Asset over rides with no response of whether it will be made available.
