Subcontractor Payment to pick up GST from Registered Invoice
Currently when an invoice is registered with no GST but is approved through SC payment, it changes the GST to add GST.
The accounts team when registering the invoice take note of the GST, but when the project team are approving, they don't think to check the code.

Hi Alita,
The GST Heirachy will pick up first from the Creditor Level and then from the GST code set at agreement level if it is overridden there, and it is also possible to override the GST code while preparing the SC Authorisation. In addition, we have some modifications planned that will allow different GST codes to be set at SC Item level for mixed gst Subcontracts. These days more and more customers are automating their Invoice registration process and we expect this trend to continue as new electronic Invoicing formats are being introduced. Therefore the control that you have at invoice registration level under an automated process is not as relevent under that model and it is important to set up correctly at SC level. Lastly with Schedule of Payments in place whereby Invoices can be treated as claims and an RCTI is produced, often our customers register claims as net claimed values against the Subcontract.
For these reasons in this case it is unlikely we will proceed with this suggestion as a new feature for now. But thank you and keep the suggestions coming. We appreciate them. I will of course track the suggestions and if the need becomes overwhelming we will look into it again.
