tax file declaration submission
It is absolutely ridiculous that you cannot automatically upload tax file declaration and submit straight to ATO. MYOB in the cloud is able to do this and with Jobpac in the Cloud it should be quite easy - waste of time having to send off the document to the ATO by post.

The file and upload to SBR portal is super easy, but I agree it should be as easy/automatic as STP.

I wouldn’t say “absolutely ridiculous” but I love the desire to move forward as quickly as possible as new technologies become available and agree.
Currently with Jobpac Connect it IS possible to create an electronic file for TFN’s for upload to the ATO through their SBR Portal. This has been there for a while now and we can help you set that up via a Request for Service in Clearview if you want to try the electronic upload method.
With the advent of STP the ATO have now released the capability to load new TFN information along with STP submissions.
We are already planning use of this more direct technology which will mean you will no longer have to use the SBR portal and will be able to submit directly to the Tax office via the STP API.
I will add that item in the Roadmap and link your request to it.
In the meantime try the existing Electronic Upload which may give you some efficiency gain.
