As present, in Purchase Order Maintenance, when scanning for purchase orders, the Purchase Order Scan screen brings up a list of all PO's that exists within the Work ID. Would be ideal if this scan shows only the PO's that are in the system for projects / jobs that the user has access to, rather than having to filter by project from an initial listing of all PO's in the system.

Thanks Daemon,
I will consider this.
Andrew
In the case that the user only has access to the one project, the user will see the PO, but only the line allocation on the order that has been allocated against their one project.
The problem that we are trying to resolve is so that it works in the same way as any other module in Jobpac - i.e. the user can only see items and functions relating to their respective jobs that have been assigned to them under security settings in System Admin (and should not be able to see other jobs that they do not have any dealings with). The system should filter out information on PO's that are not related to the users job.
Trying to assist to streamline the system further.
ha.. yes I remember...
What about the situation where a user with all Job access raises a PO
across 5 different Jobs.
Another user has access to only one of those Jobs. She that user see the
order?
I think we need to get back to question... what problem are we trying to
solve?
Can you describe the problem first?
thanks
Andrew
Hi Andrew,
Not ScoMo this time round....
If the user raises the PO over several jobs, it would mean that the user has access to those same jobs, hence the PO will be listed when that same user carries out a PO Scan.
Thanks Daemon,
I like the idea, but we need to think about PO's with mixed jobs and
overhead PO's.
Let me think further on it.
thanks
