I'm not sure of the history, but the way super is setup for an employee in Jobpac seems convoluted.
I would expect to:
The way it works currently is there is a one-to-one relationship between each superfund and the super transaction code, ie you have to setup a new transaction code for each new superfund. This means your transaction code list blows out over time with dozens or hundreds of transaction codes which are all essentially just SGC super but relating to different funds.
I appreciate that it would probably be a big programming change, but it would make it much simpler. Presumably if implementing other suggestions such as minimum wage thresholds for super then it may be easier if it there was only one SGC super transaction code.
Some of the fields on the employee maintenance screen seem to suggest it used to be managed at an employee level? Why the change? If it's to manage employees making contributions to multiple funds (how many of those are there, we don't have any?!) perhaps a "2nd Super Fund" transaction type and a "2nd super fund" in the employee file would work?
