Once journals are deleted, they need to be recreated. This is not a big issue if the journal is small, however, larger ones require a lot of unnecessary.
We previously had a situation where the EoM Asset Journal for 1,000+ assets had been deleted. Luckily, we had a backup of the system which was restored into a test environment, allowing the journal to be downloaded and uploaded back into the PRD system.

Definitely in the meantime yes I would recommend downloading the journal and saving so that it can be reloaded in this situation. Probably this type of journal is better uploaded from Excel anyway and this may automatically generate the backup copy.
