Currently when receipting cash in AR and you have finished allocating all the invoices, you are left with one cent over or under allocated. Most ERP systems have a function where you click a button and the rounding difference is automatically allocated to a nominated account.
This will eliminate all the to and fro of allocating the one cent to a completely unrelated invoice, coming back doing a reversing receipt to get rid of it, coming back again to do a GL adjustment to balance the bank.
All this work for a 1 cent difference, and we have a lot of them especially in NZ because of the way Jobpac handles GST rounding.

Thanks Andrew
In NZ, GST is not rounded up or down but is rounded to the nearest cent. Hence the issue.

I love this idea Susan and I will promote to a likely future item. We will
consider priorities and build into the future plan.
Not sure of it helps but it is possible to set round up or round down in
the GST setup. This may not be the rounding issue you describe though. just
a thought.
thanks!
