When you set a subcontract max retention to be based on Original Agreement Value, the retention calculated/withheld in each claim simply calculates off the payment amount, not the portion of the payment amount that relates to Original Agreement only.
It will all come out in the wash once maximum retention value is withheld, however in the meantime our subcontractors argue that we are withholding retention from variations in breach of our contractual agreements, which on face value, we are.
We can obviously override the retention held on each claim, however this has to be a manual calculation and can easily be overlooked. Would love to see some logic built into Jobpac to address.
