New payment type - BPAY
Hi,
It would be very useful to have a different payment type besides EFT or Cheque. BPAYS are not uploaded to the bank like EFTs are, so need to be pulled from the EFT file or batched separately. This would be much easier if there was a separate payment type ie B like E or C.
It would be nice to have much broader support for BPAYs in Jobpac, but this would be a good start.

Phase 1 delivered with BPay now avaialbe in the 2022-R1 Release. It is likely there will be a second phase that includes multiple Reference numbers per Creditor and BPay ABA files for some banks.
Hi All,
Quick update for watchers of this item.
BPay first phase release (without aba file generation) is targeted for
completion by March 20. Currently on target.
We have done this in such a way that will more easily allow for adaption to
future Payment methods and Credit cards.
Making progress and will update you all soon.

There is now a AP payment method option "BPay" which is great to see however there is no field options for code & reference number. No doubt that this is in production and would be beneficial to all clients.
I note a new field "Start BPay #" field has appeared on the Payment Processing screen. Tells me this must be close?!
Yes and also a different letter for Credit Card would be great.

Why not open this up to other types of payments like credit card payments.
It’s in the thinking for future Roadmap. We will monitor votes and comments and feed that into other discussions we have with clients over the year.

Further to the comments on the other post https://jpc.ideas.aha.io/ideas/JPC-I-105, having another payment option for credit card payments would be very handy as well. That way payment of that type could be easily made using a different bank account.
