We have several recurring automatic payments for which we also receive invoices. Currently, when these AP payments appear in bank statement matching, we are unable to allocate them directly to the corresponding invoice.
Instead, we have to go through a multi-step process:
Navigate to change payment selection
Find invoice and mark it as “Prompt”
Navigate to process payment
Manually process the prompt payment for the invoice
Only after doing this will the AP payment in bank statement matching automatically reconcile with the processed payment. It works, but it’s a bit clunky and quite time consuming.
It would be fantastic if we could bypass the prompt and manual processing steps, and instead match the AP payment directly to the invoice—similar to how it works in Xero
