Prevent Screens from backing out to main menu after running report/inquiry

When you run a GL Detailed Report or Profit/Loss or Balances sheet (the issue likely exists on all reports) you drill into the report and enter the parameters that you want such as Date, Period, GL account Number/range and you thwn run the report.   Once the report runs the selection criteria are no longer available and you are back to report menu.   If you want to run 3 separate reports for 3 diff months or 3 diff GL accounts for example you have to re-select the report and re-enter ALL of the criteria again from the main menu as opposed to having the selection criteria remain and you just change the single criteria you want.

Additionally, would be brilliant to be able to run a report in one work id and then simply change the work id and run the same report without having to re-select all of the report criteria.   For example I may run 12 P&L reports over 12 work id's all at once and have to enter all criteria 12 times as opposed to once and having it retained on a screen after changing work id

Big time saver for those who run multiple reports.

      Hi Mark,
Thanks for your comments. The good news is we have listened to our customer
feedback, solved this problem, and have been incrementally rolling out into
our reports. In the last couple of releases we included the top 5 used
reports so that after running them you stay on the report bounding screen.
We aim to release 5 more in R1 and then hope to ramp up until we cover all
reports. If you like give me your personal top 5 or 10 reports where you
find this a pain and we will move them up the Q. Im confident before too
long this problem will be solved for you.
Send your top 5/10 reports to andrew_tucker@trimble.com and we will get
      them converted asap.
      cheers
      Andrew

This issue occurs across most reporting. Extremely inefficient as a user and one of my biggest frustrations on the move into Jobpac. BI is not a practical solution to this problem. Very troubling to learn this inefficiency has plagued users since at least 2017.

      Yes it can David.
We can also do consolidated P&L across WorkID's in standard Jobpac.
      thanks

I can think of a couple of options that may help you in the interim for
      some of these reports.
      1. Not sure if you are using GL consolidation levels that may help you run
some consolidated GL reporting which may help. If you are interested in
this we can help you via a Request for Service in Clearview.
      2. We could use our BI solution to produce nicely formatted reports for
each of these in bulk over all your selected ID's at the touch of a button.
Or even a dashboard with all of these reports dynamically on screen at any
time. This would be the ideal solution.
BI is cheap these days from around $20 per user per month depending on Qty
and gives you lots more options around creating your own reports,
formatting, BI widgets on the dashboard etc. I dont want to seem like a
salesman, not that I have anything against them, but I certainly believe in
the value the Jobpac BI solution delivers and worth thinking about! Let me
      know if you are interested.

In the meantime, we will consider your original suggestion in future UX
      uplift planning.
      thanks
      Andrew

      Hi David,
Can I ask which report that you need to run most over multiple work ID's?
      thanks

      Ok thanks Andrew

It’s one of the earliest things that I noted 2 yrs ago that could be improved but in last 6 month’s have been running same reports across multiple ids so it has become more noticeable now of inefficiencies

      Hi David,
Thanks for that suggestion and that will go into consideration for future
UX improvements. Unfortunately, in this case, the cost of reengineering all
our reports will present a hurdle when we consider the benefit over other
Roadmap proposals in the near to medium term. However I'm not ruling out
      completely and will watch votes.
      thanks
      Andrew
