Hi All, A quick update. Development for this is currently underway but is expected to carry over multiple more quarters. So far we have upgraded the database, and Invoice Registration, Duplicate invoice checks, and in this quarter we commence front end screen and report changes work.

Although Jobpac doesn't let you enter duplicate invoice numbers it does not help this situation as you then need to determine how you cut the invoice number down to ten characters (cut number off the front, cut numbers from the end, don't include 0's, don't include letters etc etc.) it just leaves so much room for error and duplicates can still occur if more than one person enters invoices. I can't believe this is still up in the air and hasn't been fixed yet....

Agreed this would be a very nice and probably overdue improvement.
It is on my radar though nothing is fixed in plan just yet.
We are also currently looking at eInvoicing under the PEPPOL format and I
suspect Invoice length may become part of that project, which we have
commenced already.
Due to the size and complexity this will however not be a near term
project. But I will keep you updated.
On another note, Jobpac is designed not to let you enter a duplicate
Invoice number, so hopefully this goes someway to adreesing that
requirement.
